Pani Gold Mine Project Moves Closer to Production with Focus on the Environment and Local Jobs
Gorontalo, Indonesia – The Pani Gold Mine project of Merdeka Gold Resources is now close to starting production. The event on February 14, 2026, in Marisa, Pohuwato Regency brought together Gorontalo Governor Gusnar Ismail, Vice Governor Idah Syahidah Rusli Habibie, company heads, local officials, and community guides. Each group came with clear links to the mine and its impact. The event marked a key step in the region’s mining work.
Environmental Care at Heart
Governor Gusnar Ismail spoke on the need to keep the land safe. He made clear that the environmental impact study, locally called AMDAL, must be done well and checked closely. He said strict checks keep the work on track and help avoid stoppages. He warned that any damage to the process could harm both the mine work and the ties with the local people.
“Every mining work must give care to its AMDAL. If these checks are not done with care, the project risks its flow and ties with the community,” he said at the event.
Building Local Skills and Jobs
Governor Gusnar also stressed that local people should gain from the work. The team now has local workers and people from elsewhere who help with building the project. In his words, local workers must gain most from what happens in their home. He pointed to training and education for local people so they can meet the skill needs of mining. This focus on learning helps build a smooth chain between work and local life.
Money Matters and Work Plans
The Governor showed hope for a rise in the local money pool. Before the mine starts, local funds reached about Rp1.7 trillion from mining work. With production now set to begin, a big lift in the local funds is expected.
The company head, Boyke Purbaya Abidin, shared that the mine will start with heap leaching. The goal is to get 113,000 ounces of gold in 2026. Later, the work will move to a new process called carbon-in-leach (CIL) that may lift production to 500,000 ounces each year. The mine area runs across 14,000 hectares, though active mining touches about 2,000 hectares.
Team Work Between Community and Leaders
At the event, local sides and government teams met face to face. Leaders from the province and Pohuwato district, along with members from the regional leadership forum and heads of departments, linked their work with the project. They set up strong bonds to guide safe mining and share gains with the community. Vice Governor Idah Syahidah Rusli Habibie and local heads promised to keep land use clear, help local groups, and check that the project meets the set rules.
Context: The Rise of Digital Assets in Mining and Real Estate
The Pani Gold Mine still stands as a real building task. At the same time, money work shifts to digital ways and token systems in mining and real estate. Tokenization means that rights to real things turn into digital tokens on a blockchain. This shift can bring more trade ease, open clear views on deals, and create new ways for money work with steps that cross old boundaries. With mining work now starting, links between real work, steady local growth, and new money models may change the ways people invest and work on resource projects.
